This 16th century grade II listed coach house was in a sad state and included a 1970s garage extension that had been unsympathetically bolted onto the end of the building.  We stripped away the roof of the extension to reveal the original form of the coach house.  The fabric was then repaired and upgraded so that the space could be converted into a new home.
 

A first floor extension was added over the garage finished with vertical cedar cladding.  A glass link was designed to provide a new double height entrance hallway to provide separation between the historic building and the new extension.
