The design, form and scale of the house and relationship to the landscape were carefully considered on this elevated site. The property has been designed as two solid ground floor elements with knapped chalk flint to the elevations. The righthand element is pushed back underneath the first floor above to form a covered entrance area leading to the front door between the two flint blocks. Render has been applied to the first floor with a natural slate pitched roof above.

The interior layout was carefully crafted to suit the client’s needs and incorporates space for a future passenger lift if required.
