We were approached by the local Parish Council to explore the potential for providing a small scale affordable housing development comprising two and three bedroom apartments.  The design comprises three separate three-storey buildings with communal gardens that allow public access through to a woodland beyond and conversations with Mencap explored the potential for incorporating a sensory garden. 

The design was carefully laid out to protect the existing mature trees and to provide full accessibility by utilising the sloping site and contours of the landscape. The form and scale of the new buildings are an interpretation of the existing terraced housing opposite the site.
